It is with tremendous sadness that we pass on the news that our friend and colleague Professor Larry Hurtado has died. He passed away at home with family, peacefully in his sleep. Larry has played a significant part in the story of New College over the last 25 years, as Professor of New Testament, Dean, founding Director of CSCO, and mentor to countless postgraduates and colleagues. He brought a unique energy and enthusiasm to everything he did and we'll miss him enormously. Our thoughts are with his wife, Shannon, his three children and their families at this difficult time. A memorial service for Larry will take place Saturday 14 December 2019, 2pm, St Mary’s Cathedral, 23 Palmerston Place, Edinburgh EH12 5AW. All are welcome.
