A Centre for Theology and Public Issues (CTPI) event to build connections between School of Divinity researchers and wider constituencies in the churches and beyond. The event is an opportunity for discussion and interaction, to hear from people in churches and church-related organisations on their relevant issues and concerns. Short presentations by members of New College faculty will facilitate the conversation.

Speakers include Professor Helen Bond, Dr Alex Chow, Professor Alison Jack, Professor Rachel Muers, and Dr Ximian Xu.

The event will be followed by refreshments in the Rainy Hall.

Centre for Theology and Public Issues (CTPI)

Founded in 1984 as the world's first centre for research on public theology, the Centre for Theology and Public Issues (CTPI) brings together theologians, colleagues from other academic disciplines, faith leaders, policymakers and the public to consider current and future issues that affect society.

The Centre extends this dialogue through research and disseminates its findings through seminars, public events and publications. Topics of particular interest include poverty and welfare, justice and the penal system, peace and international security, suicide and public health, finance and ethics, national identity, devolution and citizenship.
