Research in Religion Conference

The Conference seeks to bring together postgraduate students and early career scholars based at Scottish and Irish institutions who research any aspect of religion and religious culture (whether in Scotland, Ireland or the wider world). The conference will explore the impact of religion and belief in various local, national, and international contexts, and will create a vital space for scholars across Scotland and Ireland to meet and exchange ideas in a lively and supportive environment.

The conference will include a keynote address by Professor Callum Brown (University of Glasgow): ‘Faith bunkers and problems with the religious spectrum’.

The conference will also include a plenary session from Logia, an initiative of the University of St Andrews’ Logos Institute designed to support women in divinity, led by Christa McKirland (University of St Andrews) and Dr. Iyiola Solanke (University of Leeds).

‘Research in Religion’ will take place in New College, Edinburgh, on 20 October 2018.  The website is:  https://researchinreligion2018.wordpress.com/
