Euan Meston

Euan graduated in 2019 with a Religious Studies MA. Euan works as Senior Philanthropy Officer for Action for Children

I am currently working as Action for Children’s Senior Philanthropy Officer. I started my 3rd sector career in early 2021, working first for Marie Curie UK in their Supporter Relations Team.

Then, followed by a year in their Corporate Partnerships team working to support the management of charity partnerships they have or had with companies such as KPMG, Superdrug and SPAR.

I joined Action for Children in 2023 as a Corporate Partnerships Executive, similarly in corporate partnerships but this time leading on partnerships such as those with Scottish Friendly and CMC Markets, as well as supporting partnerships such as our ongoing one with John Lewis Partnership.

Since June 2025, I have been the Senior Philanthropy Officer where my role is responsible for building relationships with philanthropists and family foundations and encouraging them to support our vital work.

My degree in Religious Studies (2015-19), I can say from the bottom of my heart, helped me get here and continues to support me in my role.

After graduating in 2019, after initially working in tourism until redundancy in 2020, my Religious Studies degree allowed me to gain a placement on the MA in Philanthropic Studies with the University of Kent. I gained so much from that, in addition, I was uniquely well prepared for the course’s modules on Global Philanthropy which explored different faith and cultural understandings of philanthropy and charitable giving.

These academic backgrounds continue to stand me in good stead.

I am currently working on an internal project with our Faith Partnerships Manager and staff networks to promote understanding of different faith understandings of philanthropy. As fundraisers, it is vital that we understand the communities we are working in. I am also part of our Methodist working group, where I am responsible for looking after our high net worth relationships with a range of individuals from this church.
