It is with great sadness that New College reports the death of Rev. Dr. Jung Woo Shin on 25 September 2021, in Seoul, South Korea. Pastor Shin graduated PhD from the University of Edinburgh in 2005, writing his thesis on ‘The Hiddenness of God in Luther and Calvin’ under the supervision of Rev. Prof. Susan Hardman Moore. His ministry was in Seoul, first as Associate Pastor of Saemoonan Church for eleven years, then as Senior Pastor of Han Young Presbyterian Church for five years. He was a great ambassador for New College. Our thoughts and prayers at this time are with Pastor Shin's wife Young Ran, his children Dong Hyuk and Eun Hye, and with all our Korean New College Alumni.
