Professor Hardman Moore contributes to a new documentary - "The Pilgrims"

'The Pilgrims', a major new documentary by Ric Burns with contributions from Professor Susan Hardman Moore, which will be screened in the USA on 24 November and on Thanksgiving Day, PBS 8pm EST.

Professor Hardman Moore's research specialism is in early modern religion - in particular, Puritanism in England and New England, and Reformed theology and spirituality in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. She has published on the subject of the Pilgrims and contributed as a historian and specialist for television.

Her latest contribution is to a documentary on the story of the Pilgrims – who they were, what drove them on – their searing first years in America and pivotal interactions with Native Americans – how they succeeded and how they failed – and how and why we have come to remember them as we do.
