The School of Divinity is inviting nominations again for the following three awards to recognise students who have contributed the most to New College, the city of Edinburgh, or the promotion of Theology and Religious Studies, outside their academic work. The awards are open to all students in the School of Divinity, undergraduate and postgraduate. Each winner will receive a £100 voucher. Categories For the student who has added most to the New College community. For the student who has contributed most to the city of Edinburgh. For the student who has contributed most to raising the profile of Edinburgh's School of Divinity or the study of Theology and RS within the UK and internationally. Suitable activities might be voluntary work, providing leadership in a local organisation, outreach activities, or taking part in a national forum. Students should nominate candidates (or themselves) to the Head of School, Professor Helen Bond, providing a paragraph explaining why they should win the award and the name of a referee who can verify the student's activity. Nomination Deadline: 30 November 2020 Nominations should be in by Monday 30th November (the start of week 11). We realise that many activities will have been difficult over the last year, but are very keen to hear of outreach and voluntary activities throughout the pandemic, or of students who have played an exceptional role in welcoming new students this semester. Sadly, we're not able to present awards at the Christmas lunch this year, but winners will be notified by the end of the semester and given their vouchers virtually. We look forward to hearing what you have been up to. Submit your nomination Email Professor Helen Bond This article was published on 2024-03-19
