History of Scottish Theology Image The History of Scottish Theology (Oxford University Press, 2019) will be launched in St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh, on Tuesday 14 January at 5.30pm. This three-volume work comprises 79 essays surveying the history of Scottish theology from the early middle ages to the late 20th century. Written by an international team of scholars, the collection provides the most comprehensive review yet of the theological movements, figures and themes that have shaped Scottish culture. Attention is given to different church traditions, to the reception of Scottish theology in art, literature, stained glass and architecture, and to its dispersion through exile, migration and missionary activity. The volumes will be available at 30% discount price at the launch which is sponsored by the Scottish Church History Society. Programme Following an introduction from co-editors Professor David Fergusson (Edinburgh) and Professor Mark Elliott (Glasgow), an expert panel will reflect on each of the three volumes. Guest speakers: Professor Jane Dawson (Edinburgh) Professor Ewen Cameron (Edinburgh) Professor Trevor Hart (St Andrews). The event will conclude with a drinks reception.
