Examining the emergence and early developments in Christianity. The Centre for the Study of Christian Origins (CSCO) is committed to the study of early Christianity and the world it was born in, focusing on the first two centuries of the common era. Our interests range from New Testament studies to patristics, to the world of late antiquity, and many of our members have specialisations within these fields. We are interested in encouraging and supporting study in these areas and put on a range of conferences and seminars to this end. The latest events are posted on our website. Research seminars The Centre holds regular seminars during the Autumn and Spring semesters. Christian Origins Research Seminars Postgraduate studies Within the wider School of Divinity, researchers at the Centre deliver a range of one year taught or research Masters programmes and supervise PhD students in their specialist areas.
