Relwar: Religion and Ethics in the Making of War and Peace

Explore how academics, militaries, humanitarian and peace-building organisations- deal with controversial ethical problems.

The Project on Religion and Ethics in the Making of War and Peace was based at the University of Edinburgh and worked with a network of partners across the world, both within academia and from militaries and humanitarian and peace-building organisations. It was closely associated with the Just World Institute, housed within the School of Social and Political Science, and various other centres and schools within the University of Edinburgh.

The project relied on an interdisciplinary environment in its aspiration to treat complex and controversial ethical problems and to provide rigorous studies on the relationships between military, political and religious dimensions of the making of war and peace today and in the past.
