Professor Michael Northcott will introduce his book, Sarah Davidson and Jeremy Kidwell will offer further reflections on the topic University of Edinburgh, Martin Hall, Mound Place 5-7pm, Wednesday, 7th October, 2015. Michael Northcott is Professor of Ethics in the School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. He has written principally in the interdisciplinary area of ecology, religion and ethics. Sarah Davidson is Director General of Communities in the Scottish Government, which emphasises the importance of place making and the empowerment of local communities. Rev Dr Jeremy Kidwell is a post-doctoral researcher in the environmental humanities, based in the school of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. His current research concerns community groups involved in sustainability and environmental activism in Scotland.
