You are invited to a book launch, discussion and reception to mark the publication by Bloomsbury of Place, Ecology and the Sacred: The moral geography of sustainable communities Professor Michael Northcott will introduce his book, Sarah Davidson and Jeremy Kidwell will offer further reflections on the topic University of Edinburgh, Martin Hall, Mound Place 5-7pm, Wednesday, 7th October, 2015. Michael Northcott is Professor of Ethics in the School of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh. He has written principally in the interdisciplinary area of ecology, religion and ethics. Sarah Davidson is Director General of Communities in the Scottish Government, which emphasises the importance of place making and the empowerment of local communities. Rev Dr Jeremy Kidwell is a post-doctoral researcher in the environmental humanities, based in the school of Divinity at the University of Edinburgh.
