Book tickets Lloyd Llewellyn-Jones Lloyd Llewellyn Jones Professor Lloyd Llewellyn-Jones is an academic, a writer and a historical advisor whose research interests include ancient Greek and Persian socio-cultural history, gender and visual culture. He is a reviewer for the Times and Times Higher Education and has worked on productions with the BBC, Channel 4, the History Channel and in Hollywood. He has held lectureships at Exeter University and the University of Edinburgh, where he was made Professor of Ancient Greek and Iranian Studies in 2015. In 2016 he became Chair of Ancient History at Cardiff University. He is the author of multiple books including ‘Persians: the Age of the Great Kings’; ‘Ancient Persia and the Book of Esther’ and ‘The Cleopatras: the Forgotten Queens of Egypt’.
