Alister McGrath is an Anglo-Irish theologian with longstanding interests in C. S. Lewis, and theological engagement with wider issues, especially relating to a scientific culture. He is the author of several bestselling theological textbooks, including 'Christian Theology: An Introduction' (Wiley-Blackwell 2023). He has recently co-edited (with Dr Denis Alexander) a collection of essays entitled 'Coming to Faith through Dawkins' (Krege 2023), explaining how 12 individuals found that Richard Dawkins's famous work, 'The God Delusion' (2006), became the starting point for a journey of discovery of faith. McGrath retired last year as the Andreas Idreos Professor of Science and Religion at Oxford University.
